I saw Sex Drive at a sneak preview. It’s a seemingly typical teen sex comedy in the vein of Superbad meets Road Drag. Zuckerman plays Ian, a young virgin with no luck with the ladies, a crush on his childhood friend Felicia (Crew), a jerk of an older brother (Marsden), and is best friends with an Austin Powers-esquire Casanova by the name of Lance (Duke) . On the internet, he poses as a football player while courting a mysterious girl online. When the girl invites him to go “all the design”, he steals his brother’s GTO and heads to Knoxville with Felicia and Lance. Ian’s character has the usual nerdy teen virgin-in-a-movie problems: falls for the depraved girls, takes few risks, gets caught in embarrassing sexual situations. On the road promenade, they race into a series of hilarious, awkward, and outlandish situations. And on the diagram, they peer that sex isn’t the most vital thing, and that accurate admire can be found in both irregular and familiar places.

It’s not exactly stunningly novel, but it’s unruffled a hilarious film. The three leads do a exquisite respectable job, Lance being a particularly silly character. Marsden and Green select the display in all the scenes they’re in, and all of the characters in the film are spirited, even if most of them are stock characters. The script is also well-connected, with most of the characters being connected to the larger station, and combines wit, ribaldry, and straight adult humor well. Every gag sequence gets gargantuan laughs, and the comedy never slows down or dies out. The internet cutaways are especially hilarious supplements.

It’s refreshing to recognize a genuinely adult comedy not coming from the Apatow crew or McKay and Ferrell. Although it lacks star leads and filmmakers and will probably descend under the radar, I definitely recommend Sex Drive to anyone looking for a colossal laughs.

Plenty to read about regarding this film out in the Internet world. The trailers have been playing in the store for a month now and the buzz has been determined (since no one got to leer this in theaters) . Analyzing a high budget teen/sex comedy for acting is pointless, so I will stick with the BD quality and extras.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Sex Drive! Click Here

The video and audio glimpse and sound heavenly, typically the outer channels pick up old with the Broad volume of songs played throughout; and some nice GTO throttlings. The special features have roughly 30 minutes of docus reviewing production and self loathing/lampooning of the cast: Marsden Predicament & Duke of the Internet clips.

The mountainous question: differences between the UR and R. Plenty to list. 20 extra minutes of gratuitous male and female nudity, longer takes of distinct scenes (the two confident geeks verbiage, pool party, condom buying fiasco, left-in flubs, changed phrases, sex sounds [sheep, bjs, etc.]), most noticeably – CGI-imposed nudity in 20 or so random scenes with a graphic intro by the director/writer about what to inquire in the UR version.

Overall, a droll film with plenty of comedian cameos, decent writing, admire searching, and sexual awakenings (even in the Amish country) . A worthwhile remove for fans of the film plus they kept it all one on disc (everything is the same as the 2 disc DVD) .

When Cars first came out on DVD, I was a limited disappointed because there weren’t very many extras on it. I didn’t understand why Pixar would steal one of their most approved films and give it such a mediocre treatment. Well…..now that I have the Blu-ray version of this film, I consider I know why. They were saving it all for Cars debut on hi-def. This has to be the best looking portray I have seen yet on a hi-def title. I looks almost like the entire film is in 3-D!!! I managed to acquire piece of this movie on a hi-def cable channel and idea I would compare the two pictures. After a shrimp fiddling, I managed to gain both screens at the trusty same frame, and was blown away at how great clearer the Blu-ray relate is. The Cine-Explore feature on this is the best special feature I’ve seen on a hi-def title. It is almost sensory overload at the amount of material that continuously pops up across the cover while the film is playing. This disc will be the one I will pop in to expose my friends what Blu-ray is marvelous of doing. Every Blu-ray owner needs to catch this title. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

After seeing so many children’s movies with animals lately (Hoodwinked, Over the Hedge, Ice Age 2, etc.) Cars was a needed change. It was astounding sitting down to a movie that offered something a bit different. Don’t accumulate me faulty, our family loves movies with goofy animals. But after laughing at and with Tow Mater for 2 hours, I was so ecstatic I didn’t notice a droll squirrel in the whole movie. Tow Mater was awesome. We all hope to sight Tow starring in his beget flick! Bring on the sequel!!!

With that said, Cars is a heart warming account of a accelerate car called Lightning McQueen who is chunky of himself. Lightning stumbles off the beaten path of life, and onto the backroads of route 66. There, Lightning McQueen finds all the things he was missing in life because of his self-absorption: friends, beauty, and like.

I was very pleasantly suprised with the legend. Yes, Cars had many, many humorous parts (especially the tractor tipping, and Tow Mater), but the anecdote itself is what shines like a diamond. Cars is a movie that will have you leaving the theatre changed, looking for cherish, beauty and cherishing what you have. I can’t give a movie any greater compliment than this. A must peek, and must bear children’s movie.

This may be the single-best tool you could ever watch to understand how one gigantic cinematic mind realized its vision. Scorsese is selfless; he shows us how his vision came to be. Most directors would rather us not peep how their illusions are created; Scorsese’s purpose is the complete opposite.

This situation includes three video cassettes (75 minutes apiece) . He begins by focusing on the American Western, an understandable starting set as the American Western is arguably the most indigenous genre Americans can lay claim to. The most enlightening portion from this fraction was his analysis of three John Ford movies, starring John Wayne. Scorsese’s purpose was to note how the Western, along with Ford, grew more complex in three decades. As he says, “Same Director, Ford. Same star, John Wayne. Same setting, Monument Valley.” However the image of the black-and-white cowboy-and-Indian hero of “Stagecoach” is a disagreement between Ford’s later “The Searchers,” where Wayne’s character Ethan Allen is “richer, more complex,” Scorsese says. He IS richer and more complex — a plain hero. Scorsese’s point is made: that cinema is ever expanding, the pallete becoming ever more complex, that filmmakers grow themselves. The second half of tape-1 focuses on gangster films; Scorsese was in territory he loved here. His seek of the gangster film’s development from “The Musketeers of Pig Alley” through Howard Hawkes’s “Scarface,” to Francis Ford Coppola’s “Godfather” legend is an education in the development of American cinema itself.

The second tape is my current. Scorsese focuses on films you might not have heard of, but films that are achievements in American cinema: films that touched him. Jacque’s Tourneau’s “Cat People” (I contemplate that’s the title) and “I Walked With A Zombie,” movies that are truly rich films but that have sadly been forgotten or dubbed ‘B’-class films, Scorsese says. And it’s apt. These films created techniques and philosophies that changed American cinema — they enhanced and developed the techniques that are the “illusions” that we too often steal for granted as being the unusual movie. From watching this piece I realized how a film like “Blair Witch” (whether you liked it or hated it) was influenced by guys working on shoe-string budgets (Tourneau) but with the treasure of cinema; in the case of Tourneau, of scaring the pants off an audience with a minimal budget. Likewise, it becomes distinct to search for how Film Noir was “a mood,” Scorsese says. And it was a mood. It was cold. It was indifferent. It was Pulp Fiction. There are comments by the legendary Billy Wilder on film noir, his “Double Indemnity” epitomizing the style. Wilder’s comments were insightful, and Wilder is a pleasure to gawk on camera. I esteem this guy. He’s like a blend of Yoda and Robin Williams.

Buy,Download, Or Stream A Personal Journey With Martin Scorsese Through American Movies! Click Here

The second half focuses on the “Director as Smuggler” and this blends into the third tape’s “Director as Smuggler II.” Comments by Douglas Sirk, Nicholas Ray — eye-patch and all, insightful, insightful stuff. Ray says something that was kind a revelation to me. If you’re hero isn’t neurotic, or as neurotic as the audience, if he isn’t as [messed] up then how can an audience identify with him, you know? Paint the hero flawed — or at least as flawed as you and I — and that design when they do something gigantic, when they do something plucky, we can identify and say, “Man, I could have done that.”

The behind-the-scenes footage of Samuel Fuller was hilarious — tragic, in its have intention — and yet amusing. “Don’t wave the GD flag at me!” And Hoover objected, Fuller said. I loved this!

There are comments by more contemporary “smugglers” George Lucas, Francis Coppola — on the digital age of American cinema. Coppola’s advice is to embrace the modern technology. Lucas’s was less convincing, but not-without-point. “Why exhaust the money,” Lucas says, “To transport hundreds of extras, to feed them, to clothe them, when they can be reproduced digitally.” I listened to this skeptically — thinking of film’s like “Braveheart,” where the director (Gibson) did haul all those extras out there and shoot those scenes. And then I view of “Gladiator” — Academy Awards or no — it was easy to recognize that many of the chronicle shots were digitally reproduced. And I realized movies such as “Braveheart,” “The Topple of the Roman Empire” (which Scorsese discusses) are sadly piece of bygone era. It’s simply too expensive to effect those kinds of movies without digital “smuggling.” So, I snort Coppola’s words ring factual — it’s wise to embrace the modern technology.

Buy,Download, Or Stream A Personal Journey With Martin Scorsese Through American Movies! Click Here

The final fragment of the third tape focuses on “The Iconoclast” — filmmaker’s who went at the system head-on. Here you’ll score more recognizable names and Scorsese’s discussions on how their films engaged him personally: DW Griffith, Charlie Chaplin, Orson Welles, Stanley Kubrick, John Cassevetas. I’ve watched the share on Kubrick’s “Barry Lyndon” several times objective to realize exactly what Scorsese sees when he discusses individual scenes in the film. It’s really a flow to study these movies through his eyes, while he discusses them. There’s a discussion of “Citizen Kane” — naturally — not to be missed with comments by Orson Welles, years later, on what it was like to have that kind of personal freedom while making a movie; and what it’s like to have it taken away. Chaplin’s “The Substantial Dictator” is looked at — comical, droll stuff. And not without more profound implications, too.

Bottom line: this is an profitable perambulate through Amerian cinema, through the eyes of one our most gifted artists. Scorsese, I hope, will be remembered for giving us a gift, his gift. He has done more to sustain film history — films, directors, and these directors’ personal visions of our world, all of which would otherwise be forgotten — Scorsese’s done more to retain all of this than any other single human being. It is a selfless dart.

Equally absorbing for the film novice and scholar alike, Martin Scorsese provides us with an uniquely personal opinion of American cinema. This thoroughly enthralling video series will intrigue all those who are open-minded enough to learn from the ample vartiety of films which Scorsese has selected. This is a far scream from pretentious film school fare. Scorsese is equally comfortable discussing B-films as well as the more established classics. If you care for American movies, you positively MUST occupy this boxed site. If you’re fresh to film explore, these tapes will assist you to tumble in admire with film. An astonishing delight.

I’m disappointed to peep many negative reviews of the 3rd Season. I got mine from Amazon last week and have already watched the whole season and it was expansive! I was nervous going in because I had heard from various people that season three wasn’t as kindly, but after I got watching I was not at all distinct what the fuss was about, the point to is pushing itself and growing in fresh directions like it needs to if it’s going to survive. The reveal challenges you to mediate about “drugs,” what’s upright and injurious, and examines the inter-workings of suburbia with such cleverness that I am always pleasantly surprised.

Nancy Botwin is the perfect character, you fancy her, but sometimes want to slap her. Parker is an astonishing actress and makes this demonstrate work from beginning to demolish. I also worship her youngest Shane, he’s agreeable this season and happy to peer him getting more and more airtime. This note is both silly and heartbreaking and blows most shows on TV lawful now out of the water.

I’m really indignant to notice how season 4 plays out. I deem it’s a substantial imprint that they are breaking out of the “exiguous boxes.”

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. If you liked season 1 and 2 you will care for season 3!

Still inspiring, although not as believable. Everything seems really over-the-top. Weeds is aloof my accepted note though! *a effect on the packaging. The discs weren’t clicked in and they were rubbing around during shipping. I concept they were traditional at first since there were scratches on the them moral out of the package.

Theatrical soundtrack: Dolby Stereo

Originally edited for US consumption and released under the title CREEPERS, the full-length version of Dario Argento’s masterwork reveals the plot in his madness. Whereas the edited version was a fast-moving collage of half-baked themes which evoked nothing of any significance, PHENOMENA reinstates the crazy-quilt pacing, whereby dream-like passages surrender abruptly to episodes of screaming hysteria, all of which is critical to any appreciation of the film’s sunless ambitions.

Romano Albani’s sumptuous cinematography transforms the breathtaking Swiss locations into a fairy-tale landscape where terrifying eruptions of violence disturb the illusion of tranquility, and Jennifer Connelly drifts through the legend in a place of near-hypnotic grace, allowing herself to become ensnared by the machinations of a deformed killer and his/her equally psychotic ‘guardian’. Legal, the longer version is bogged down at times by lengthy dialogue scenes which absorb up the set, and the involvement of Donald Pleasence’s chimp is no less misguided than before (its final act of retribution crosses the line into absurdity), but the set-pieces are magnificently realised, and the final 20 minutes are as hair-raising as anything in Argento’s ouevre.

Dario Argento throws in all his trademarks in this horror/fantasy extravaganza.A wearisome crime epic mixed with dream sequences, gore, station of the art camerawork, maggots, fireflies, broken glass, running water, sparkling young girls and a vivid soundtrack. You name it, it`s all here!

Buy,Download, Or Stream Phenomena! Click Here

Argento has made a lot of mediocre movies the new years, but this 1984 movie is a honest classic.

The film is presented in 1.66:1 with a DD 5.1 soundtrack. Both describe and sound is superb, but nothing spesial.Anchor bay has also thrown in some extras, but nothing very exciting in my view. There is a monotonous commentary with Argento and three of his collaborators in very broken english, a trailer, two music videos,a lousy gradual the scenes segment, and a ridiculous Argento interview from a Joe Franklin note. And don`t be fooled to gain that the 28 minutes that is restored in this UNCUT and UNCENSORED version is gore.It is simply the chubby european version, and all 28 minutes are dead narrative and character building. No doubt that this cleave is considerable better than the “Creepers” slit, though.

It is the feature itself that makes this disc a must-have.They simply don`t beget movies like this anymore! (Neither does Argento, unfortunately!)

Now I can hardly wait for Anchor Bay to release “Opera” and ” Suspiria.”

This has always been one of my well-liked Richard Widmark films, and it’s also one of the most underated film noirs of all time. Widmark plays Harry Fabian, a hopeless hustler and conman in London who dreams of making it tall. Gene Tierney plays his girlfriend, who also falls prey to Fabian’s schemes and tricks. Fabian comes up with a belief to become a “bigshot”: be a promoter in the wrestling world, and arrange for one of the biggest matches in London’s history. The pickle is that he has to meet the approval of the leader of London’s underworld, and that’s where his plans topple apart. The suckers who supported Fabian soon realize their error, and the mob comes looking for Fabian with a vengeance, in one of the most memorable chases in film noir history. Fabian has no one left to turn to, except his helpless girlfriend, but even she can do nothing to place him. The ending is one of the best (in my understanding) of all film noirs. Even though Widmark’s character is totally unlikable, I assume this one of his finest performances. Gene Tierney is also expansive, but she gets far too itsy-bitsy mask time. I’ve waited years for this classic to be released on dvd, and finally my wish has been answered! If you’re even remotely keen in classic film noir, this dvd is a distinct must-have!

Harry Fabian (Richard Widmark) always seems to be running. From thugs, backfired schemes, rip-offs, etc. In London, he hits upon a surefire get-rich-quick scheme: to promote a one-time renowned wrestler, Gregorius (Stanilaus Zbyszko), in mumble opposition to the recent wrestling kingpin Kristo (a young Herbert Lom), Greogorius’ son. But, as always, money is the scrape. He finds backing from an oily night club owner’s wife (Googie Withers) who has grand plans of her fill. But the night club owner Nosserus (Francis L.Sullivan) is on to Fabian’s method and the double-cross has disastrous results as Fabian tries to hold the gig going at all costs. Jules Dassin created a cramped masterpiece with this 1950 film noir and Criterion has done it justice on the disc with attractive extras and a first-rate print. The film boasts an kindly British/American cast and a big acquire by Franz Waxman. Widmark is dynamic as Fabian and Gene Tierney is profitable as Mary, his long suffering girlfriend who works in Nosserus’ club, The Silver Fox. But the best female role is Withers as Helen, who reveals a ruthlessness that surpasses even Fabian’s wild schemes. “Night and the City” pulls no punches in showing what happens to some people who halt at nothing to come by what they want at the expense of others…and how gigantic dreams can turn into nightmares. Highly recommended.

This one is fun. Couger Mayhem and Couger Treasure. My six year worn loves this one. It’s the kind of movie that is fun to survey on Sunday night with a bowl elephantine of popcorn.

Charlie the Lonesome Cougar – a substantial family movie, true? Well, this is typical Disney fare with the animal fable line and the astronomical outdoor settings. And, I was blissful (and actually surprised) to regain it available on DVD. The disappointment with me was two fold. First, the quality of the characterize left something to be desired. While the describe is determined there are too many instances of scratches and splothes showing up during the movie which detracted from the beauty of the scenery. Secondly, the DVD version I watched had several minutes edited out. Maybe the imperfections in the current movie could not be fixed but I’m disapointed that I purchased this DVD, and without warning I ended up with a shorter, edited version. If you like this kind of family movie, salvage it. However, be prepared for a less than perfect, shorter version of it.

This is a fair ample collection at a titanic brand. There are seven movies on individual discs which are They Got Me Covered, The Princess and the Pirate, Alias Jesse James, The Facts of Life, I’ll Purchase Sweden, The Road to Hong Kong & Boy, Did I Win a Improper Number.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bob Hope MGM Movie Legends Collection! Click Here

By far, the two standouts are The Princess and the Pirate & They Got Me Covered. Alias Jesse James is available for the first time on DVD, it’s his last comedy-western & a pleasing estimable one. After this it’s a plunge off in quality. The Road to Hong Kong is the weakest of the Road movies & fair lame, to boot. The Facts of Life co-stars Lucille Ball & is helpful, as all the Hope-Ball pairings. The Facts of Life & I’ll Buy Sweden are Hope vehicles that aim at getting a younger audience & are mixed bags. The primitive co-stars Frankie Avalon & Annette Funicello, the latter has Elke Sommer (look candy) . Boy, Did I Accept a Harmful number has Hope’s first pairing with Phyllis Diller that’s not among his best.

This site concentrates more on Hope’s later period (early to mid sixties) which is past his prime as to the quality of the movies. It’s the other three movies that really obtain this situation worthwhile. Here’s how I would rate these movies on an individual basis:

1) The Princess and the Pirate*****

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bob Hope MGM Movie Legends Collection! Click Here

2) They Got Me Covered****

3) Alias Jesse James***

4) The Facts of Life**

5) I’ll Pick Sweden**

6) Boy,Did I Acquire the Obnoxious Number**

7) The Road to Hong Kong*

These discs are high quality but there aren’t any bonus features. The stamp is what makes this spot the agreeable deal that it is.

The quality was astronomical. I conception it might be grainy ~ but it wasn’t. They’re huge movies with unbelievable memories. The expeditiously wit humor without the peril of somebody dropping the F bomb or nudity is improbable. To be able to examine clever dialog with your kids ~ especially when they are advancing from cartoons. Definately a worth while investment!

The information and survival skills that he shows is honest, and interesting. This is not a monotonous indicate where he objective talks about what to do, he demonstrates it in a very piquant fashion. Unlike “Man VS Wild”, Les is loyal. Elia Kazan’s “East of Eden” is based on the John Steinbeck unusual of the same name. It is a unusual story of Kane and Abel.

While the film is certainly astonishing, probably its greatest claim to fame is that it was James Dean’s first film. It is rare, today, that we inspect a novice young actor (remember Dean was only 22 when this movie was made) score a leading role in a high profile drama – as this was – and then nail it so well that critics everywhere fell under his spell. Prior to this film, Dean had only made a handful of commericials, television appearances, and one or two worthwhile theatrical roles.

In an era when “screenplay” meant acting for the cover and playing it for the last row, Dean, Clift, and (personally, regrettably) Brando, were the only actors out there playing for reality.

Buy,Download, Or Stream EAST OF EDEN! Click Here

Dean’s Cal is a tortured youth, who has never won his strict father’s (the formidable Raymond Massey) acceptance and desperately seeks to do so. His brother, Aaron (played by Dick Davalos), is obviously favored by the father and this further salts the wounds that Cal carries. Julie Harris plays Aaron’s fiance as a fawning and often obsequious girl, which can be a bit more than off putting at times.

Joan Van Rapidly portrays Cal and Aaron’s “monotonous” mother. Rather than suffer the embarrassment of admitting his failures as a husband, father, and man, the boys’ father tells them and everyone else that their mother long ago died. In truth she has been running a bordello in the next town.

Through a series of machinations, Cal meets his mother, and asks for her assistance in winning over his father. The area fails miserably for Cal, setting off a chain of events from which no one can return.

Buy,Download, Or Stream EAST OF EDEN! Click Here

Dean’s performance – the only one to be seen while he was alive – registered off the Richter scale with the youth of the 1950’s. Never before had they seen someone their age relate someone their age in such a believable manner. He became an instant star.

As is typical, Hollywood has attempted to remake this film several times, and did so failingly. While the acting often can seem over the top, no one has ever been able to choose the lightning in a bottle that Kazan did with his unbelievable cast in this truly classic film.

I first watched this movie on television when I was about 16, because I wondered what all the fuss was about James Dean. I soon found out: he was so unbelievably natural in his acting technique that the audience is captivated by his brilliance. This was Dean’s film debut and he burst like a thunderclap in the public’s ears, not to mention staid Hollywood, which came to both terror and savor the gorgeous, rebellious youth. In this haunting John Steinbeck yarn, Dean is the neurotic half of twin sons belonging to Bible – reading lettuce farmer Raymond Massey, whose astronomical acreage stretches through the rich Salinas Valley in California. Aron (Davalos, in another grand debut) is the well-adjusted upstanding son whose normal relationship with his girlfriend and his diligent pursuit of continuing his father’s legacy is admired by the patriarch. Cal is very different from his brother and the troublesome youth mistakenly believes his father doesn’t cherish him. A haunting scene has Dean introduce Davalos to their supposedly lifeless mother. The boys were brain-washed by their father into believing their mother Kate was some sort of angel: the truthful realisation that she’s a financially successful Madam who operates a whorehouse in Monterey causes Davalos to become deeply traumatised. Many people will feel empathy for BOTH brothers during this considerable scene: it shows us that Cal is, if anything, Exact while his brother is somewhat sheltered and idealistic in comparison. The performances are all splendidly colourful and absorbing: Dean is unforgettable as Cal – for whom the audience feels empathy – Julie Harris is pretty as Abra (she succumbs to Cal’s raw sexuality) and Jo Van Rapidly is estimable as the tough yet essentially tender-hearted tubercular Kate who likes her boy Cal because he “has sense” as she believes she does. Raymond Massey is aesthetic as the puritanical father, Adam. Burl Ives is memorable as Sam: he quotes the Biblical passage which includes the picture’s title. Some distinguished snobs say that the film was over-directed by Kazan but it made Dean an over-night sensation who acted with a unusual naturalistic style and died a sage at the tender age of 24.
